About the Role
We’re looking for a collaborative and analytical professional to join our team as Application Lead, Financial Systems. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end ownership, stability, and continuous improvement of enterprise financial applications supporting billing and accounting processes. You will ensure that systems such as custom billing platforms (FDC) and Microsoft Dynamics operate effectively, meet business needs, and align with financial and operational objectives. You will partner closely with Finance and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and compliant solutions while supporting ongoing transformation initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the end-to-end ownership and lifecycle management of financial applications including custom billing platforms and Microsoft Dynamics, ensuring system stability, performance, and alignment with business requirements.
- Act as the primary accountable owner for application health, availability, and service delivery.
- Ensure systems support core financial processes including billing, accounts receivable, and accounting workflows.
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to translate business needs into system capabilities.
- Drive application enhancements, configuration, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize billing and accounting processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, data accuracy, and process efficiency.
- Lead design and implementation of system changes, enhancements, and integrations.
- Oversee production support, incident resolution, and root cause analysis to minimize disruption to financial operations.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve complex system issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain documentation, governance standards, and promote knowledge sharing across teams.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (recent graduate or expected graduation within the year of hire).
- Strong academic foundation in Information Systems, Network Technology, Business Analytics, Optimization, Financial Modeling, and Computational Problem Solving.
- Internship or co-op experience in Information Technology, Software Development, IT Business Analysis, or related technical functions.
- Exposure to enterprise systems, data analysis, automation, or application support within corporate environments.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets, perform structured testing or validation, and support process improvements.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and effective communication skills across cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with tools and platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Intune, enterprise databases, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with documentation practices including business requirements documents, process flows, and technical diagrams such as ERDs.
- Exposure to automation, scripting, or workflow optimization initiatives.
- Foundational understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps, and CI/CD concepts.
- Hands-on programming capability with understanding of coding best practices, testing principles, and application lifecycle fundamentals.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and demonstrate ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement mindset.
Current Location: Mississauga. Our Mississauga office will move to 1 Adelaide in Toronto in September 2026
The hiring base salary range for this position is $60,400 - $83,050 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
