Summary
The Application Engineer is a part of the Bank's Technology Innovation Team and is responsible for the Bank's cloud technology deployment, management, support, and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve integration components for the Bank's partners systems and internal systems
- Supporting and maintaining all the Bank's authorized applications lifecycle
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert on new application technologies and initiatives
- Designing and deploying modular cloud-based systems
- Developing and maintaining cloud solutions in accordance with best practices
- Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloudsecurity
- Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
- Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements
- Willingness to learn and pick up innovative technologies when requested
- Work on a complex technical development, prototypes/proof of concepts under the direction of CTO and the AVP of Innovation
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or significant equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of experience in supporting and maintaining application
- Experience with SysOps
- Azure, AWS, and M365 certifications preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills with a preference for team-based work
- A desire to work with and contribute to an energetic and engaged team of technology
- Detail-oriented, even when faced with multiple deadlines on multiple projects
- An interest in continuous learning and experimenting in the benefit of delivering value to users
