アプリケーション・エンジニア(AE)は、ATIおよびCelera製品の販売、技術サポートおよびアプリケーション・サポートを担当します。お客様のアプリケーションを評価し、製品の使用方法、モデルやオプションの選択に関する提案を行い、技術的な質問や問題に関してお客様をサポートします。 また、販売部門に技術的な支援を提供し、新たな販売の創出をサポートします。 顧客先でのオンサイトサービスを提供、また、品質問題に関して関連部署と連携し顧客をサポートします。 営業、マーケティング、技術、品質、生産などの社内チームと顧客との定期的かつ効果的なコミュニケーションは、個人およびチームの成功に不可欠です。また、アフターサービスとして製品の品質や法令に関する要求に対し、レポートを作成することも対応します。
主な責務
- 顧客とアプリケーション要件を定義し、ATI/Celera製品を選択
- 技術的な質問や問題のトラブルシューティングで顧客を支援
- サポートと問題解決のために、製品マネージャー、製造、品質、エンジニアリングと調整
- サービス、トレーニング、トラブルシューティングのために顧客先を訪問
- 技術的な営業プレゼンテーションでアカウントマネージャーをサポート
- 製品の品質や法令に関する要求に対し、トラブル報告書や非該当証明書の作成などアフターサービスに対応
- 出張報告書およびサービス報告書を作成し、ATI/Celera データベースにすべての顧客とのやり取りを記録
必要な経験、学歴、スキル、トレーニングおよび能力
- 大卒以上。機械工学または電気工学
- 自動車製造、ロボットおよびオートメーション製品、半導体製造、ラボおよび診断、医療機器製造のうち少なくとも2つの市場に関する知識を有すること。
- 製品テクニカルサポート、トラブルシューティング、サービス、トレーニングの経験
- ドライブ、エンコーダ、モーター、制御技術に関する知識は必須
- CAD / Solid Worksの経験
- ロボットプログラミング経験
- TOEIC600点以上
Travel Requirements
- 日本国内への出張は50%、米国や中国への出張は年1~2回程度。

Summary
The Application Engineer (AE) is responsible for technical service and application support before and after the sale of ATI and Celera products. The AE evaluates customer applications and makes recommendations for product use, model and option selection, and assists customers with technical questions and issues. The AE offers technical assistance to the sales department supporting the generation of new sales. The AE works with engineering to develop specifications in support of new product creation and development for customers. The AE provides on-site service and assistance at customer locations. Regular and effective communications within the customer base and internal teams including sales, marketing, engineering, quality and production are critical to individual and team performance success. AE also provides after-sales service by preparing reports on product quality and legal requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Define application requirements with customers and select ATI/Celera products.
- Assist customers with technical questions and troubleshooting of issues
- Coordinate with product manager, manufacturing, quality, and engineering for support and issue resolution.
- Travel to customer sites for service, training, and troubleshooting.
- Support account managers with technical sales presentations.
- Respond to complaints about product quality and handle after-sales matters such as creating certificates of conformity.
- Write trip and service reports and log all customer communication in ATI/Celera database
Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution, preferably mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Market know-how in at least 2 of the following markets: automotive manufacturing, robotic and automation products, semiconductor manufacturing, lab and diagnostics, and medical device manufacturing.
- Previous product technical support, trouble shooting, service and / or training experience
- Knowledge of drive, encoder, motors and controls technology is a must
- CAD / Solid Works experience
- Robot programming experience
- TOEIC score of 600 or above
Travel Requirements
- Domestic regional travel within Japan is required 50%, with occasional travel to the US and/or China for training, approximately 1-2 times per year.
