Responsibilities:
Develop detailed guidance for cloud workloads that ensure compliance with Government security and regulatory requirements such as NIST SP 800-53 security controls
Collaborate with cloud-focused teams across various organizations to design, test, and implement cloud workload security configurations and solutions.
Facilitate the creation of procedures and cybersecurity guidance for migrations from legacy cloud environments or hardware environments into AWS
Evaluate and research cloud services and make recommendations for security configurations of those services to ensure data is appropriately protected.
Evaluate and research cloud security technologies and make recommendations for their use.
Qualifications:
Required:
Customer facing skills to drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation
Experience with cloud computing and virtualization platforms.
Ability to quickly learn and shift in step with the latest cloud-computing, networking, and infrastructure management technologies.
Excellent communication, writing, problem solving, and architectural whiteboarding skills associated security principles including protection of data at rest, in transit, and in process.
Strong knowledge of application system and network architectures and
Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for cloud-based solutions.
Education and Experience:
12 years minimum experience and a High school Diploma/GED
10 years minimum experience and an Associate’s degree
8 years minimum experience and a Bachelor’s degree
6 years minimum experience and a Master’s degree
4 years minimum experience and a Doctorate’s degree
All experience and education will be in a technical field directly related to the labor category being proposed and all diplomas, GED certificates, and degrees will be from accredited institutions.

Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework/Zero-Trust Implementation
A commercial Cloud Certification at the Associate level, a specialty, or higher; AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud are preferred
Experience with security-focused AWS concepts and services including IAM (Identity Access Management), SCPs (Security Control Policies), AWS Key Management Service, AWS Config, AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, and Inspector

The proposed salary range for this position is:
