ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Customer Technical & Application Support
- Provide professional technical support and troubleshooting services to customers in China via phone, email, and remote support.
- Support the application of OMICRON high-voltage testing products, including testing of transformers, instrument transformers, switchgear, rotating machines, and related power equipment.
- analyze and resolve complex technical issues with local and international technical teams independently or collaboratively
- Provide customers with testing solutions, application consulting, and best-practice recommendations.
- Work closely with the sales team and partners to deliver both pre-sales and post-sales technical support.
Application Development & Knowledge Management
- Monitor industry trends and provide technical input for new product development, marketing initiatives, and application innovations.
- Develop and continuously improve application guides, testing procedures, and case studies.
- Prepare technical articles, application reports, and industry-related technical materials.
- Contribute to the development of technical knowledge bases and best-practice sharing.
Technical Promotion & Industry Engagement
- Support product launches, marketing campaigns, and sales activities.
- Participate in product demonstrations, user meeting, technical training sessions, seminars, and industry exhibitions.
- Conduct technical exchanges and application training for customers, partners, and industry experts.
- Deliver technical presentations at industry forums, technical conferences, and academic seminars to enhance OMICRON's brand presence and technology leadership.
On-Site Technical Services
- Provide on-site technical support and application services to customers.
- Perform field work related to high-voltage testing, including equipment commissioning, testing guidance, and fault analysis.
- Support the implementation of key projects and the resolution of complex on-site technical issues.
- Assist customers in improving testing efficiency and equipment reliability.
Other Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining and updating customer and project records in the CRM system.
- Complete other assignments as directed by the Country Manager of China.
What We Are Looking For
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in high-voltage equipment testing within the power industry.
- Solid theoretical knowledge and practical experience in high-voltage electrical testing.
- Familiarity with primary equipment testing and condition assessment in substations.
- Hands-on experience with testing technologies for transformers, instrument transformers, GIS, circuit breakers, power cables, and related equipment.
- Thorough understanding of high-voltage testing principles and relevant international and national standards.
- Strong technical analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently plan and execute testing projects.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Strong hands-on capabilities and extensive field engineering experience.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, products, and applications.
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Ability to read and understand English technical documentation and communicate effectively with international teams.
