Job Summary
The Application Engineer III will work closely with the Sales & Marketing, Engineering, and Project
teams to develop innovative and cost-effective automated material handling solutions based on customer requirements.
The role involves developing pre-sales concepts, system layouts, equipment applications, and technical
proposals for warehouse automation projects. The successful candidate should have a strong
understanding of automated material handling technologies and demonstrate a willingness to learn and
adapt to evolving technologies.
This position provides an opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies, including conveyors,
sortation systems, ASRS, robotics, AMRs/AGVs, and other warehouse automation solutions. The
Application Engineer will have a high level of responsibility and autonomy in developing technical
solutions and supporting the sales process.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop pre-sales material handling system concepts and equipment layouts based on
RFQs, customer requirements, and project specifications.
• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D AutoCAD layouts for automated material handling systems.
• Design and select appropriate equipment and components to meet customer requirements,
performance targets, and applicable design standards.
• Develop conveyor, sorter, ASRS, and other automation system layouts for both unit-load and
pallet-handling applications.
• Prepare technical inputs, equipment specifications, system concepts, and supporting
documentation for customer proposals.
• Work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to develop technically sound and commercially
viable solutions.
• Participate in internal and external design and customer review meetings, presenting concepts
and technical solutions clearly and effectively.
• Provide technical support to the sales team during customer discussions, solution development,
and proposal preparation.
• Coordinate with senior application/design engineers and the US/global engineering teams to
develop and review system solutions.
• Review RFQs, customer layouts, specifications, and other technical documents to identify
requirements, assumptions, and design constraints.
• Support equipment sizing, throughput calculations, capacity analysis, and preliminary system
performance assessments.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in warehouse automation and
material handling.
• Visit customer sites across India, when required, to understand operational requirements, assess
existing systems, and gather information for solution development.
• Ensure application designs are technically accurate, practical, and aligned with customer
requirements and company standards.
• Maintain proper documentation, drawing revisions, and project-related technical records.
• Work effectively within a multidisciplinary and geographically distributed team.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in automated material handling, warehouse automation, or a
similar industry.
• Strong experience in developing material handling system and equipment layout drawings.
• Hands-on experience with unit-handling and pallet-handling conveyor systems.
• Good knowledge of conveyors, sortation systems, ASRS, and warehouse automation
technologies.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D; working knowledge of AutoCAD 3D is preferred.
• Ability to quickly learn and work with customized CAD/design software.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

and system applications.
• Understanding of conveyor equipment, layouts, interfaces, and material flow.
• Ability to interpret customer requirements and convert them into practical engineering solutions.
