Department: IT – Application Administration

Position Overview:

 As a Systems Administrator with the MRI Software IT Services Team, you will work across Private and Public cloud technologies, learning business processes whilst being exposed to exciting new technologies such as VMWare vCentre, Azure, SQL/Oracle Databases, Citrix, along with several other backup, antivirus, monitoring, networking and operational tooling.

 In this position, you will assist with a wide range of IT operational and project related duties such as Microsoft Active Directory management, VMware Virtual Machine deployment and configuration, Anti-Virus and security vulnerability activities, deploying virtual web servers, creating and maintaining DNS records and be fully immersed in day-to-day operational IT Services activities, related to application support.  Being a part of a global organization and servicing clients across the globe, there may be a requirement too

 

Responsibilities:

  • Deployment and configuration of Application releases
  • Able to perform duties on a shift/roster depending on requirements from business
  • Ability to work overtime/standby as and when required
  • Citrix Troubleshooting
  • Installation and management of IT, monitoring and security tools
  • SQL Server, Oracle server and DB administration
  • Managing and administering service desk ticketing system queues
  • Review of SOPs and documentation
  • Remote Desktop Gateway management, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • IPSEC Tunnels and administration
  • Configuration of monitoring tools
  • Active Directory management and troubleshooting
  • VPN Configuration and troubleshooting
  • General vCentre management and troubleshooting
  • SFTP Server management
  • IIS/Web Server administration and troubleshooting
  • Certificate Management
  • SMTP Relay server troubleshooting and management
  • Azure Kubernetes Cluster Services
  • Patching and Updates
  • Server Builds and Software deployments
  • Standby and Overtime duties required
  • Client and Stakeholder Engagements
  • Strong interest in general IT (Networking, Operating Systems, Scripting, SQl/Oracle database administration)
  • Attention to detail, ability to follow SOPs and suggest improvements to documentation and processes
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills with focus in Customer Centricity

 Education

  • BE in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Azure Certified or working towards
  • Database Administration Certified
  • VMWare Certification a plus
  • Security Certification a plus

Skills Required

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Microsoft Active Directory management and troubleshooting
  • VMware vCenter / vSphere management and virtual machine deployment
  • SQL Server and Oracle database administration
  • Citrix troubleshooting and support
  • Experience with DNS, Remote Desktop Gateway, IPSEC tunnels, and VPN configuration/troubleshooting
  • IIS / web server administration and SMTP relay management
  • SFTP server management and certificate management
  • Experience installing and managing monitoring, backup and antivirus/security tooling
  • Azure knowledge and working experience with Azure Kubernetes Cluster Services (AKS)
  • Server builds, patching, software deployments and change management
  • Ability to work shifts, standby and overtime as required
  • Strong problem and incident management ownership, stakeholder and vendor management skills
  • Scripting skills (automation)
  • Azure certification or working towards
  • Database administration certification
