· Lead CI/CD strategy and delivery automation (end-to-end) Architect, build, and continuously improve CI/CD workflows for applications and infrastructure, enabling repeatable releases with strong governance—e.g., standardized workflows, hardened runners, promotion patterns, and integration to enterprise change/release processes.
· Implement “quality-by-default” engineering controls and pipeline gates Define and enforce engineering controls such as mandatory PR checks, build/test
automation, code quality thresholds, and consistent branching/merge practices so teams ship safely and predictably.
· Own Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) architecture and reusable building blocks Champion IaC (e.g., Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK patterns) and create reusable modules/templates (“golden paths”) that enable self-service environment provisioning and consistent architecture implementation across teams.
· Embed DevSecOps: security, secrets, and compliance as code Integrate security scanning and compliance controls into pipelines (SAST/SCA, policy-as-code, secrets management) and partner with security to ensure AWS environments meet enterprise risk requirements without slowing delivery.
· Establish reliability, observability, and operational excellence (SRE mindset) Define service-level objectives (SLOs), observability baselines, logging/metrics/tracing standards, and operational readiness practices (runbooks, alerting, error budgets) to improve stability and reduce MTTR.
· Drive cross-team enablement, coaching, and continuous improvement Serve as a hands-on technical leader who mentors engineers, partners with architecture/dev/security/QE, and leads adoption of standardized tooling and practices—improving developer experience, consistency, and delivery throughput.
