Application Development Lead Analyst

Position Overview

The job profile for this position is Application Development Lead Analyst, which is a Band 3 Contributor Career Track Role.  The lead analyst will be working within our Mainframe Home Delivery Technology organization. This role supports the team through the full software lifecycle of design, development, testing, and support for technical delivery. It requires working with both onsite and offshore team members to understand and deliver new functionality and improve/maintain existing processes.  

Responsibilities

  • Mainframe development and processing using COBOL, DB2, CICS, and JCL.  Experience with mainframe technologies – IBM z/OS, TSO/ISPF.
  • Work on new development, as well as maintenance of current Mainframe Home Delivery applications.
  • Monitor code changes when they move to production.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Mainframe Home Delivery applications.
  • Perform issue resolution, root cause analysis, and provide permanent fixes in a timely manner.
  • Conduct and participate in team code reviews.
  • Participate in team standup meetings where you will give and receive updates on the current backlog and challenges.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • 6+ years of experience with hands-on experience in COBOL, DB2, CICS, and JCL.
  • Strong understanding of SQL, with the ability to write complex queries.
  • Knowledge of VSAM a plus.
  • Knowledge of Endevor and JIRA a plus.
  • Knowledge of agile Software Development Life Cycle methodology. 
  • Prior industry experience (Pharmacy, Healthcare, etc.) preferred. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly diagnose issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with technical and non-technical teams.

Required Experience & Education: 

  • 6+ years of experience.
  • College degree required.

Location & Hours of Work

Hyderabad HIH, Sattva Knowledge City, Shift 11:30AM to 8:30PM IST (2AM to 11AM EDT), Hybrid 3 days Work from Office
