Who you are：

We are looking for Application Design Engineer to our Qingdao Marine site of Business Unit Heat & Gas systems (BU HGS). As a Application Design Engineer, you are working in our Capital Sales organization, and you are part of Application Engineering team. As our new Application Design Engineer your main tasks will be drafting and correcting P&ID for sales specific purpose, layout drawings of non-standard boiler and economizers, and design related work on other products in the BU HGS portfolio. You are key person to provide technical support to Sales engineers, Application engineers and Product Management, to ensure we can provide best possible customer solution and quality prior to signing of orders. You are reporting locally to Qingdao Marine Site Manager, and you have operational dotted line to System Engineering Team manager. You work independently in our Qingdao site and in close co-operation with other colleagues from Application Engineering team and other stakeholders.

To succeed in this position, you have engineer background and experience from marine engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable technical background. You have good organizing, co-ordination and communication skills. You are cooperative and able to communicate in fluent English.

What you know：

• You have mechanical technical education at bachelor or master level combined with technical work experience
• Experience of advanced CAD drawing is mandatory.
• Knowledge to process engineering and process design is an advantage
• You are imaginative and self-reliant as well as active, structured and systematic in your work.
• Good communication skills in English both oral and written.
• You have ability to co-ordinate between different stakeholders.
• Bringing valuable information into design phase from production line and general product knowledge will be considered a great advantage
• Genuine interest and abilities in marine systems.
• Knowledge of boiler systems bringing valuable information into design phase from production line and general product knowledge will be preferred and is considered a great advantage.

About the job：

• Develop and update design drawings needed in sales phase.
• Highly skilled in using Computer aided Drafting, AutoCad, Inventor, SolidWorks ect. to develop P&ID, GA drawings and 2D & 3D models.
• Able to recognize class requirements for components and reflect those in GA drawings and P&ID’s.
• Maintain and produce general way of working/guideline instructions for different non-standard products
• Create, develop and maintain our technical drawings documentation for our non-standard systems in coordination with other departments
• Participate in first draft studies of new system configurations together with sales companies and product management
• Technical supporting throughout the BU HGS
