Technology Architect (Application Architect)
What You’ll Do
Architect and design highly scalable, secure, and resilient application solutions that precisely meet complex business requirements within the banking and financial services domain.
Demonstrate and apply domain expertise in financial services in payments, loan, cards, core banking, wealth management, or related financial services areas to deliver domain aligned technical solutions.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to deeply understand requirements and translate them into robust, future proof architecture designs.
Develop and maintain comprehensive architecture strategies and roadmaps, ensuring all solutions align with enterprise-wide technology standards and business objectives.
Produce detailed design blueprints and end-to-end architectural frameworks covering multiple interconnected systems, with a strong focus on microservices, messaging, and database technologies.
Continuously update and enforce architecture frameworks and guiding principles, demonstrating expert knowledge of when and how to apply them effectively.
Provide detailed technical designs including sequence diagrams, domain-driven design, bounded contexts, and microservices granularity to guide development teams.
Lead design reviews and ensure strict adherence to architecture principles and best practices across all technical deliverables.
Escalate complex design and implementation challenges to Architecture and Engineering forums, driving timely and effective resolution.
Work hands-on with development teams to ensure seamless integration, deployment, and operational excellence of technology solutions.
Support and guide engineers on complex coding issues, architectural patterns, and implementation best practices.
Be a part to champion a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation, promoting diversity and inclusion within the team.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Minimum 5 years in technology roles, with 7+ years preferred as technology architect, technical lead, application designer within banking or financial services.
Expert proficiency in Java/J2EE technologies and modern architectural frameworks.
Strong hands-on experience (3+ years) designing and implementing Microservices architectures, messaging platforms (Kafka, MQ), and relational/non-relational databases (Postgres, MongoDB, Oracle, MSSQL).
In-depth knowledge of banking domain processes and systems, including payments, loan, cards, core banking, wealth management, or related financial services applications.
Solid understanding and experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment models.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Proven ability to influence and build consensus across cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and alignment.
Highly dependable, ethical, and committed to delivering high-quality solutions on schedule.
Strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and innovative problem-solving capabilities.
Demonstrated leadership in defining new architectures and independently driving architectural projects from inception to completion.
