We are seeking a App Innovation Senior Cloud Solution Architect (GitHub Engineer) with deep expertise designing, implementing, and operating enterprise-scale GitHub platforms. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise Cloud (GHEC), GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES), GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS), DevSecOps automation, and large-scale repository migration initiatives from platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, and Bitbucket. This individual will serve as a technical leader for customers and internal teams, driving architecture decisions, security engineering, governance, migration strategy, GitHub Actions automation, CodeQL implementation, secret scanning, dependency management, and enterprise platform optimization. The role requires the ability to translate complex business and security requirements into scalable GitHub solutions while enabling secure software delivery and modern developer experiences.
Deep GitHub engineering expertise, including GitHub Enterprise Cloud/Server administration, GitHub Advanced Security (CodeQL, Secret Scanning, Dependabot, Security Configurations, and Enterprise Governance), GitHub Actions, API and automation development, and large-scale migrations from Azure DevOps, GitLab, Bitbucket, or other source control platforms, with demonstrated experience leading enterprise DevSecOps transformation efforts.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customer IT and business leaders to understand their application, agent, data, and AI priorities, and design secure, scalable solutions that drive business value, customer confidence, and production adoption.
- Lead technical engagements across architecture design, proof of concepts, pilots, and production milestones to accelerate adoption of Azure AI Foundry, Agent Factory, GitHub, app platforms, integration services, and supporting data services.
- Own end-to-end technical delivery results for dispatched engagements, partnering with CSAMs in stages 4 and 5 to ensure Azure consumption plans, customer success plans, and workload-level RACIs are complete, accurate, and feasible for delivery.
- Drive next best actions and generate incremental pipeline from each engagement, aligning Factory, Unified ES as Job 2, Azure Accelerate, Accelerate Developer Usage, Grow Data Marketshare and Agentic Modernization, and Win Agent Platform outcomes.
- Use and contribute repeatable IP, templates, frameworks, agents, and centralized IP development to achieve targeted MCEM outcomes, accelerate ACR, and improve scalable delivery quality.
- Provide delivery oversight and escalation support for key Factory engagements across AI Apps, agents, and app innovation projects, using Factory as a delivery differentiator to accelerate time-to-value.
- Lead the health, resiliency, sovereignty, security, capacity management, and optimization of mission-critical workloads, including service and model retirements, to ensure readiness for production-scale AI and agent use cases.
- Act as the Voice of the Customer by sharing adoption issues, capacity constraints, product gaps, deployment blockers, platform readiness feedback, and preview limitations with engineering teams to accelerate resolution and improve product outcomes.
- Support customer and partner skilling through technical workshops, readiness activities, and guidance on AI Apps, agents, GitHub, app modernization, resiliency, and production readiness.
- Maintain deep technical expertise and stay current with Azure, AI, GitHub, and cloud-native development trends, while contributing to internal and external technical communities.
- Maintain deep technical expertise in Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Agent365, Microsoft IQs, GitHub Copilot, GitHub Platform, app platforms, containers, serverless, integration services, DevOps, and supporting data and customer health workloads, while contributing to internal and external technical communities.
- Demonstrate a growth mindset by continuously aligning your skills to customer needs, contributing to knowledge sharing, and mentoring others to accelerate customer outcomes.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years experience in AI, GitHub, Agentic DevOps, AI Agent development, cloud, developer, application platform, agents, or related technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience
Cloud Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
