Join the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Strategy Group, an internal consulting team working on projects at the top of senior management agendas. As a Vice President based in Hong Kong, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including developing international growth strategies, assessing and planning new product and market entry, and conducting strategic business deep dives. Our team is composed of top performers from leading strategy consulting firms, investment banks, other internal JPMorgan Chase groups, and top undergraduate and graduate programs.
As a Vice President in the APAC Firmwide Strategy team, you will be part of a focused group of professionals working on projects that are critical to our business. You will collaborate with business leaders and senior management to develop solutions that enhance our global presence and contribute to the firm's growth.
Job responsibilities
- Lead initiatives/projects to resolve diverse problems identified by senior managers of the Corporate & Investment Bank
- Lead teams of 1-3 junior strategists to develop solutions in partnership with business leaders
- Develop "trusted advisor" relationships with multiple senior stakeholders
- Gather, synthesize, and creatively analyze data (e.g., financial modeling, valuation analysis) to provide insights, identify issues, and arrive at recommendations
- Develop strategic presentations for both internal and external audiences
- Monitor industry trends and share insightful reports and analyses with the broader team and senior executives
- Coach and mentor less experienced colleagues
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 7 years of experience from a premier management consulting firm, investment bank (M&A, Coverage, Capital Markets), Equity Research, internal strategy groups, or venture capital/private equity or other relevant entrepreneurial backgrounds
- Diverse strategic problem-solving experience, such as leading multiple CEO/CFO level programs across the financial services sector
- An outstanding ability to analyze and solve problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively (both oral and written), influence senior business leaders, and work well in cross-functional teams
- Passion to foster an environment of active feedback and continuous development
