AP Spanish Translators provide Spanish-English interpretation and translation support for school events and activities across E.L. Haynes campuses. Student translators assist families, staff, and community members while demonstrating professionalism, confidentiality, punctuality, and effective bilingual communication. Members are expected to attend assigned events, communicate appropriately with program captains and the sponsor, and maintain the academic and behavioral expectations required for participation.
Hourly rate: $10 per hour

What We Do
E.L. Haynes Public Charter School is an award-winning Pre-K3-12th grade school named for Dr. Euphemia Lofton Haynes, the first African-American woman to receive a doctorate in mathematics and a DC Public School teacher for nearly 50 years. Founded in 2004, E.L. Haynes has grown to serve more than 1,150 students across two campuses in the Petworth neighborhood of Washington, DC.
