Job Purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Lead (AP/AR Lead).

The AP/AR Lead will oversee the AP/AR function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong leadership of AP/AR processes within the automotive supplier industry. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the AP/AR department.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate 2 direct reports.
• Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes, including timely and accurate invoice processing, payment disbursement and collections.
• Maintain and update AR / AP ledgers, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
• Reconcile AR / AP accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Facilitate payment runs and distribution of payments via check, ACH and wires.
• Manage and reconcile cash and bank accounts.
• Oversee and manage the reconciliation and analysis of expense reports and corporate credit card.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables month end closing activities including journal entries, reconciling account balances, making adjustment entries, generating financial reports.
• Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and readily available.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

What We’re Looking For

• BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of SAP Finance experience, specifically with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivables (AR)
• Experience in supervisory role preferred
• Experience in automotive supplier industry preferred
• Strong knowledge of AP/AR processes and accounting principles
• Good problem-solving skills
• Works well in group settings
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
