Roguebeam is a startup developing advanced phased array systems for communications and radar applications. We design and manufacture complete systems in-house—RF, antenna, PCB, digital, and DSP—giving our engineers end-to-end ownership of the technology and a direct line of sight from algorithm to deployed system.
We’re early, we’re growing fast, and the people who join us now will shape both the technology and the company.
We're looking for an antenna engineer to lead the design and test of antennas that are part of advanced phased array systems for payloads and ground terminals. You will take full ownership of the design, test and integration of antenna and microwave components, co-designed with front-end modules (PA/LNA/beamformer).
You will own the final test/verification of fully functional phased array products before they are deployed in the field, so you will work with RFIC, digital and software engineers throughout the whole product cycle (system design, manufacturing, production etc.)
Design phased array antennas; antenna element, feed structures, integration to front-end modules and relevant microwave components in printed circuit boards
Full ownership of simulation, fabrication, testing and troubleshooting of passive and active antenna/array prototypes.
Contribute to software development and test of fully functional (analog or digital) phased arrays
Contribute to the integration of the products into various platforms (ground, drone, satellite etc.) of customers.
Work with RF/digital/software engineers on high level systems design of various products.
Provide hands-on support through product life cycle.
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
2+ years of research or development experience in the areas of RF and antennas (internship and thesis acceptable)
1+ years of experience using one of the 3D EM simulation tools: CST, HFSS, FEKO etc.
5+ years of work experience in the areas of RF and antennas or Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience or PhD degree (in electrical engineering with research work on RF or antennas)
Experience with basic antenna concepts: dipole/patch/slot antenna elements and feed techniques, antenna array theory, planar antenna array design, gain/directivity/radiation pattern
Experience with basic RF concepts: impedance matching, smith chart, power handling metrics (IIP2, IMD), microwave network analysis
Familiarity with antenna measurement techniques (such as anechoic chamber, near field and far-field measurements etc.)
Familiarity with antenna prototyping tools and techniques
1+ years of programming experience in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB
Ability to work in a fast paced, start-up atmosphere with extreme ownership.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Export control: This role involves technology subject to U.S. export control regulations (ITAR/EAR). Applicants must be U.S. persons (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3)), or otherwise eligible under applicable export authorizations.
Skills Required

- 2+ years of research or development experience in RF and antennas; internships and theses are acceptable
- At least 1 year of experience using a 3D electromagnetic simulation tool such as CST, HFSS, or FEKO
- 5+ years of work experience in RF and antennas, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or a PhD in electrical engineering with RF or antenna research
- Experience with antenna elements, feed techniques, antenna array theory, planar array design, gain, directivity, and radiation patterns
- Experience with RF concepts including impedance matching, Smith charts, power handling metrics, and microwave network analysis
- Familiarity with antenna measurement techniques, including anechoic chamber, near-field, and far-field measurements
- Familiarity with antenna prototyping tools and techniques
- At least 1 year of programming experience in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with extreme ownership
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible under applicable U.S. export authorizations
What We Do
RogueBeam is an electronics manufacturer developing advanced phased-array systems for communications and radar applications.
