Summary
The Andon Coordinator is responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and driving the rapid resolution of operational issues that impact safety, quality, delivery, inventory flow, and customer commitments within an aviation logistics environment. Acting as the central communication point between Operations, Logistics, Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Customer representatives, the Andon Coordinator ensures production interruptions are identified, escalated, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.
The role serves as the "voice of the operation," providing real-time visibility into operational constraints while ensuring accountability through structured reporting, follow-up, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor daily logistics and warehouse operations for production interruptions.
- Coordinate Andon calls and rapid response meetings throughout each shift.
- Identify risks affecting customer delivery commitments.
- Monitor inbound and outbound material flow.
- Ensure operational priorities remain aligned with customer requirements.
- Receive, document, and categorize operational issues.
- Initiate immediate escalation to appropriate departments.
- Coordinate cross-functional response teams.
- Monitor response times and ensure timely resolution.
- Escalate unresolved issues to leadership when required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in logistics, warehousing, aviation operations, manufacturing, or supply chain.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience using ERP, WMS, or SAP systems preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- US Work Authorization
