As a Senior Associate within Payments Operations Strategy, Innovation & Governance, Data Insights & Analytic Solutions, you will support operational reporting and analytics used to monitor performance, manage risk, and inform business decisions. You will help maintain dashboards, scorecards, and metrics by performing data quality reviews, monitoring reporting processes, documenting procedures, and supporting access controls. You will deliver scheduled reporting and ad hoc analysis while supporting production needs, issue triage, and timely stakeholder communications. In this role, you will partner with Operations, Technology, and Data teams to improve reporting reliability, reduce manual effort, and strengthen controls through practical automation and process improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Support scheduled operational reporting, including execution, validation, publishing, distribution, and stakeholder communications.
- Provide business-as-usual support for reporting processes, including issue triage, root-cause coordination, escalation, and resolution tracking.
- Maintain dashboards, scorecards, and performance reporting that help leaders monitor day-to-day operations.
- Develop and enhance queries, transformations, and reporting logic to support consistent and reliable metrics.
- Validate data quality through reconciliations, control checks, and exception review to support accuracy and audit readiness
- Monitor reporting outputs and processes to identify failures, anomalies, and emerging risks.
- Document metric definitions, assumptions, data sources, and procedures to support governance and repeatability.
- Manage reporting and analysis requests by clarifying requirements, confirming priorities, and communicating status.
- Deliver ad hoc analysis that clearly explains assumptions, findings, risks, and business impacts.
- Partner with global stakeholders to define reporting needs, metric definitions, and success measures.
- Identify automation and process improvement opportunities that reduce manual effort and improve reporting reliability.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, analytical, technical, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years experience in operational reporting, analytics, business intelligence, or data analysis.
- 5+ years of experience writing SQL for relational databases, including querying, joining, validating, and reconciling data.
- Experience working in a control-oriented environment with strong attention to accuracy, documentation, auditability, and access management.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business questions into reporting requirements, metrics, and actionable insights.
- Experience supporting issue management activities, including triage, prioritization, escalation, and timely communication.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain data concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience using business intelligence or analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Alteryx.
- Experience supporting Payments Operations, financial services operations, or another high-volume operations environment.
- Familiarity with modern data platforms or cloud-based data environments such as Databricks or Snowflake.
- Experience using Python or similar tools to support analytics automation.
- Familiarity with standard operating procedures, runbooks, inventories, or control documentation.
- Experience identifying process improvements that reduce manual effort, strengthen controls, or improve reporting reliability.
- Familiarity with Jira or similar tools for tracking intake, incidents, and delivery activities.
