Position SummaryWe have an opportunity for an Analytics Scientist II to join our team. In this role, you will work on diverse assignments that require creativity and technical expertise. You will have the chance to lead projects, guide team members, and interact with customers. This position offers autonomy and the ability to make impactful decisions while ensuring compliance with Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm
Location: Kansas City, MO

Develop and execute laboratory work plans and schedules independently, using customer milestones and site performance standards. Work with sample types including in-process, release, or stability. Apply techniques such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), UV/Vis, Disintegration, and Dissolution using apparatus types 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6. Perform method development, validation, and transfer activities.
Author technical documents, including protocols, test methods, reports, certificates of analysis, and operating procedures.
Review technical documents for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
Direct the work of technical staff, including assigning tasks.
Serve as Technical Lead, responsible for project outcomes and customer interaction.
Execute efficiency improvement projects with guidance.
Identify and recommend business opportunities on a project-specific basis.
Train others on laboratory techniques.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in a related life science or physical science field with a minimum of 6 years of related work experience, or a Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years of related work experience, or a Doctorate degree with 0+ years of related work experience.
Ability to proactively address work issues at both an individual and team level.
Ability to process, maintain, and interpret data.
Understanding of instrument operations and troubleshooting skills in multiple techniques.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers.
Well organized with the ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
Physical requirements include: standing frequently; walking and sitting occasionally; lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40 lbs occasionally; kneeling rarely; reaching frequently. Work environment may involve occasional noise, vibration, and hazards, with rare exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, and wet conditions.
