The Team:
Data Analytics & Transformation (DAT) brings together Data Engineering, Semantics, Data Science, Process Excellence and the Domain teams. Domain teams give each Celonis business function the analytics and strategic perspective it needs to make evidence-based decisions. They work with data on campaigns, pipeline, customers, product usage, incidents and infrastructure. We're moving from descriptive reporting toward predictive, prescriptive and AI-augmented insight.
The Position:
This is a hands-on engineering role embedded in a business domain. You'll write clean SQL and Python, build models and data products, and work directly with the stakeholders you serve across Sales, Product, Engineering, Finance and Commercialization.
The Work You'll Do:
- Turn business questions into structured analyses and clear, actionable recommendations, with stories and visuals that non-experts can follow.
- Define and refine KPIs, and use statistical and predictive methods to spot trends, risks and opportunities early. Your methodology should hold up when challenged.
- Build automated dashboards and self-service data products that replace manual reporting.
- Write tested, version-controlled code, and use AI tooling (copilots, agents, workflow automation) to cut manual effort.
- Own data quality, consistency and governance for the datasets you work on.
What You Bring:
- 2–4 years in analytics engineering, data/business analytics, BI development or a similar role.
- Strong SQL and confidence with large, complex datasets.
- Hands-on Python for analysis, automation and statistical/predictive modeling.
- Practical experience using AI in analytics workflows.
- A solid grasp of statistics and attention to methodological detail.
- Software engineering habits (version control, testing, documentation) and experience with BI/visualization tools.
- The ability to explain data clearly to non-technical stakeholders, and examples of your work shaping decisions in a business function.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or a related quantitative field.
