The Chemist will lead the analytical and testing activities in our analytical laboratory. The successful candidate will work in the laboratory and be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring data integrity, maintaining instrumentation, and driving analytical excellence across a range of techniques for polymeric materials, various additives and pigments, including chemical & spectroscopic analysis, thermal testing and more.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
Lead all analytical activities within the Characterization Laboratory, including operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced instrumentation HPLC, FTIR, DSC, TGA, XRF, and additional analytical tools as required
Design and execute testing experiments including wet chemistry operations like titrations & solvent extraction, perform data analysis, and translate results into actionable insights to support product development, failure analysis, and reverse engineering efforts
Develop, validate, and implement new analytical methods according to product development requirement and in compliance with regulatory standards
Create and maintain documentation including testing reports, and work instruction procedures for laboratory equipment
Collaborate with Technology, QC, and production teams to support product development and quality assurance
Train and mentor technicians in daily routine work
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma holder with 2-3 years’ experience in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or related field
Fresh Bachelor graduates are welcome to apply as well
Proven expertise in operating analytical instruments and strong data analytical skills
Strong foundation in chemistry with hands-on experience in HPLC operation, wet chemistry techniques, and instrument-based analysis of polymeric materials, additives, and pigments
Knowledge in biocompatibility testing will be an added advantage
Effective communication skills with all levels of employment both verbally and in writing
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or a related field
- Two to three years of experience in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or a related field
- Fresh bachelor's graduates may apply
- Experience operating analytical instruments, including HPLC
- Strong data analysis skills
- Hands-on experience with wet chemistry techniques
- Experience analyzing polymeric materials, additives, and pigments
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of biocompatibility testing
