Sous la responsabilité du VPA, Modélisation et analyse en tarification actuarielle, tu travailleras sur les fonctions de modélisation en tarification pour les opérations canadiennes de RGA.  Au sein d’une équipe créative et dynamique, tu seras exposé à une grande variété de produits d’assurance et seras invité à contribuer à des projets dans divers autres domaines qui tireront parti de ton esprit créatif et analytique.

Principales fonctions :

  • Supporter la modélisation des activités de cotation des nouvelles affaires et des affaires en vigueur

  • Examiner et réconcilier les résultats de rentabilité de produit

  • Communiquer et expliquer les résultats à la fonction de tarification et au développement d’affaires

  • Soutenir les cotations spéciales et les divers projets de tarification interne tels que la valeur intrinsèque des nouvelles affaires

  • Contribuer au travail d’autres domaines, notamment la recherche et le développement, la prise en charge et le contrôle, etc.       

      

Qualifications :      

  • Baccalauréat en actuariat en voie d’obtention

  • Réussite d’au moins un examen de la Society of Actuaries et/ou être activement dans un programme d’agrément universitaire (PAU) de l’ICA

  • Connaissance des logiciels Excel, Word, Outlook

  • Expérience dans le domaine de l’assurance, un atout

  • Connaissance du logiciel AXIS, un atout

  • Bilingue français et anglais, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit. (Anglais requis étant donné la nécessité de communiquer avec une clientèle unilingue anglophone dans le reste du Canada, de produire pour eux des rapports et autres documents en anglais, et de communiquer avec des employés unilingues anglophones à travers nos entités internationales).

Reporting to the AVP, Pricing Modelling & Analytics, you will work on the underwriting modeling functions for RGA’s Canada operations. As part of a creative and dynamic team, you will be exposed to a wide variety of insurance products and will be asked to contribute to various other areas that will benefit from your creative and analytical mind.

  • Department:         Pricing Modelling & Analytics – Montreal

  • Position status:    Internship – Temporary – 2 roles available

  • Availability:              Summer, Winter or Fall 2027    

Responsibilities:    

  • Support the activities of actuarial pricing and business development

  • Pricing for new reinsurance business and special quotes (life insurance, critical illness insurance and other living benefits, credit insurance etc.)

  • Participate in technical reviews

  • Analyze product profitability

  • Quarterly follow up of certain risks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor in Actuarial studies in progress

  • Successful completion of at least one exam from the Society of Actuaries and/or actively progressing in a CIA University Accreditation Program

  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook

  • Experience in the insurance industry, an asset

  • Knowledge of the AXIS software, an asset

  • Bilingual, French and English, both written and spoken. (English required due to frequent communications with unilingual anglophone clients across Canada, work product needing to be rendered to them in English, and frequent communications with unilingual anglophone employees internationally within the group of companies).

  • Sense of organization, detailed-oriented with ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly

  • Highly proficient in computer software and problem-solving skills

Your application must include your cumulative GPA (or a copy of your transcript), the number of actuarial exams completed, and indicate your availability for a Summer, Fall, or Winter internship.

Skills Required
