Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Identify and research investment opportunities primarily in illiquid credit markets while monitoring portfolio investments
- Develop financial models and perform comparative company analysis to determine valuation and projected investment returns
- Conduct detailed business diligence (industry analysis, competitive landscape, capital needs, growth assumptions, etc.)
- Manage third-party vendors such as attorneys, consultants and accounting/due diligence firms
- Perform detailed analysis and recommend investment opportunities
- Review primary credit documents and participate in new documentation negotiations
Candidate Profile
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field or the candidate has investment banking experience
- At least 1-2 years of completed experience as an analyst in investment banking, direct lending, restructuring, fixed income/equity research or hedge funds
- An ability to research industries, markets and companies and then summarize and qualify an independent viewpoint
- An understanding of capital structures and balance sheets and the ability to analyze a company and sensitize its forecasted operations and cash flows
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial modeling
- Strong writing skills and the ability to prepare investment summaries and complete investment memos
- Excellent Excel skills

Rate of Pay
- The base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $160,000 but may vary based on various factors including job function, experience and geographic location. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
