Responsibilities                                                                                                                                                                                

Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Identify and research investment opportunities primarily in illiquid credit markets while monitoring portfolio investments
  • Develop financial models and perform comparative company analysis to determine valuation and projected investment returns
  • Conduct detailed business diligence (industry analysis, competitive landscape, capital needs, growth assumptions, etc.)
  • Manage third-party vendors such as attorneys, consultants and accounting/due diligence firms
  • Perform detailed analysis and recommend investment opportunities
  • Review primary credit documents and participate in new documentation negotiations

Candidate Profile

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field or the candidate has investment banking experience
  • At least 1-2 years of completed experience as an analyst in investment banking, direct lending, restructuring, fixed income/equity research or hedge funds
  • An ability to research industries, markets and companies and then summarize and qualify an independent viewpoint
  • An understanding of capital structures and balance sheets and the ability to analyze a company and sensitize its forecasted operations and cash flows
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial modeling
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to prepare investment summaries and complete investment memos
  • Excellent Excel skills

Rate of Pay 

  • The base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $160,000 but may vary based on various factors including job function, experience and geographic location. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
