We are looking for an Analyst that helps clients fulfill complex financial reporting and tax requirements by combining technical expertise, mastery of sophisticated valuation methodologies, industry knowledge, objectivity and independence. We closely monitor the regulatory landscape and are deeply involved in the development of valuation industry standards and best practices that impact our clients.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
An Analyst works on a variety of assignments, including business enterprise valuations, purchase price allocations, valuations of complex securities including financial assets and liabilities as well as capital structures, intellectual property valuations, stock option valuations, reviews of valuations of hedge funds and private equity interests, and dispute consulting.
• Gather data and information pertinent to the engagement with a general knowledge of the various industry sectors (industrial, food and beverage, retail, banking, etc.)
• Providing insight and expertise on target industries, market and competitor information
• Valuation analysis, including determining appropriate valuation methodology and building and reviewing financial models
• Presentation of results in a clear and concise report to project teams
• Assisting in the development of presentations and publications communicated to clients
• Managing junior staff on analyses, reports, and presentations
Essential traits:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics from an accredited college/university. Additional knowledge of Italian civil code and tax regulations
• 1 to 3 years of experience in Advisory Firm specializing in the valuation of companies, intangible assets, financial assets and liabilities, with experience in constructing and reviewing valuation models and other financial and statistical models including: DCF, income method, comparable company and transaction methods, excess earning method
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills and experience in managing staff
• Knowledge of software packages including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
