Analyst – Transaction Processing

Department Information:

The Transaction Processing and Transfer Agency team is a vital link for some of AAM’s key processes. The team is responsible for ensuring cash movements, balances and positions are reconciled versus the Custodians, processing different kinds of cash payments and preparing daily/monthly reports. The team is also performing the transfer agent activities for a significant part of AAM CE’s assets under management.

Job Responsibilities:

The Transaction Processing and Transfer Agency team has a significant presence and role within the organization. There is a close working relationship with the other Operations teams (COO domain), Front office desks and other areas focusing on transactions processing, payments and reconciliations.

• Transfer agent

• Unitization of all orders
• Settlement of all trades
• Corporate actions and dividend processing
• Keep TA registry up to date

• Transaction processing
  • Capture, confirmation/validation and settlement of transactions in internal and external systems including fixed income, equities, bonds, repos, derivatives.
  • Exceptions processing
  • Corporate actions processing
  • Liaising with different areas of the business regarding Aegon’s trade positions
  • Investigation, resolution and response to requests and queries
• Cash management and Payments
  • Confirmation of payments with external parties and processing of payments and cash forecast
  • Liaising with counterparties regarding payments, breaks and claims
  • Investigation, resolution and response to requests and queries
• Reconciliation
  • Performing detailed reconciliations to identify and resolve positions and cash breaks.
  • Investigation, escalation and resolution of requests and issues
• Change Delivery
  • Understanding of changes to meet AAM NL requirements. Supporting implementation of changes and projects (new portfolios, products, processes, etc).
  • Identification of processes improvements and working on implementation.

Qualifications and Experience 

• A strong achievement orientation and good communication skills are essential for the role

• Professional commitment is expected (i.e., attendance, promptness, focus upon job and tasks, always working and contributing)
• Self-discipline and focus
• The role requires the jobholder to be customer focused enabling business requirements. 
• Ability to work within a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment across different time zones. Fluency in English.
• MS Excel knowledge
• Knowledge and understanding of financial products and markets, knowledge of debits/credits.

Education

• Relevant Bachelors / Master’s degree or equivalent

• Compensation level depend upon an applicant’s qualifications and will be determined by hiring supervisors/managers and HR
