Introduction
We are looking for an experienced Supply Planner to join our Japan Supply Chain Planning team. In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting our Supply Chain strategies and objectives by developing and maintaining accurate supply plans that align with the company's commercial goals. This will involve continuous monitoring of demand plan changes, adjustment of safety stock levels, and conducting E&O inventory reviews to ensure that inventory levels support the commercial plan. You will work closely with the Regional Supply Planning Manager and the Regional Demand Planning Manager to support end-to-end supply chain process and strategy, and liaise with multiple Operations Teams across the region to ensure effective execution of supply plans. The successful candidate will have a degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, and a deep understanding of supply planning principles and best practices. Excellent analytical skills, the ability to work cross-functionally, and experience working with Oracle ERP systems or Anaplan is a plus. - Manage inventory levels and balance warehouses to ensure enough stock on hand to meet customer demand without excessive overstocking.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, customer fulfillment and production teams to ensure that customer demand is met, and inventory levels are optimized.
- Make supply purchase recommendations and PO spend analysis during the monthly planning cycle and contribute to monthly regional S&OP process.
- Provide the regional inventory projections, target setting recommendations, measure results, and develop action plans to continuously achieve financial targets.
- Work collaboratively with the regional and global teams to ensure targets are met.
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and improvement of Supply Planning systems.
- Assist in formalizing KPIs and metrics for the region based on global standards, leveraging existing and new data sources
- Develop root cause analysis to determine specific areas of concern and use metrics to drive improvements going forward.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth new product introduction to the market and end of life process.
- Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.
- Provide key inventory data, analysis, and reports to stakeholders to support routine and ad-hoc planning activities and decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management and/or supply planning. Consumer electronics experience is a plus.
- Understanding of Supply Planning principles and best practices, with the ability to work cross-functionally to achieve business goals.
- Ability to utilize multiple data sources to deliver accurate and reliable reporting and analytics.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently in a proactive manner.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, required for interacting at various levels within the organization.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills in English and Japanese
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and assign effective priorities to tasks.
- Ability to develop clear action plans and drive processes with numerous interdependencies.
- Advanced skills in Excel, with skills in PowerPoint, Word. Working knowledge of Oracle ERP systems. Anaplan experience is a plus.
