Your Team
The Proxy Voting team, part of Invesco’s Investment Stewardship team, is responsible for supporting the end-to-end proxy voting process within Invesco.
Your Role
Invesco is seeking a Proxy Voting Analyst to join the Proxy Voting team in Hyderabad.
The Proxy Voting Analyst will support the end-to-end proxy voting process, including account setup, vote execution and reconciliation, reporting, and operational controls. Working closely with portfolio managers, custodian banks, technology teams, legal and compliance, and third-party service providers, the analyst will help ensure the accurate and timely execution of proxy voting activities across client accounts.
Due to its broad stakeholder engagement and involvement in critical governance and regulatory workflows, this role provides a unique opportunity to develop a deep understanding of proxy voting, investment stewardship, regulatory reporting, and operational excellence within a global asset management environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Proxy Voting team in the end-to-end execution of proxy voting activities, including ballot monitoring, vote instruction preparation, voting execution, and post-vote oversight, while driving enhancements to the efficiency, scalability, and control environment through process improvement, automation, and systemization.
- Ensure accounts are accurately established, maintained, and closed across the firm, custodian banks and proxy agents, conducting regular audits, reconciliations, and exception management to ensure data integrity and operational effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain expertise in proxy voting platforms and workflows, supporting the accurate processing of ballots, monitoring voting deadlines, and escalating issues in a timely manner.
- Assist in the development, documentation, and ongoing enhancement of standard operating procedures, controls, and governance frameworks supporting proxy voting operations.
- Support annual SEC regulatory reporting, including Form N-PX, as well as regional regulatory, client, and management reporting requirements.
- Partner closely with internal business teams, Technology, custodians, proxy service providers, and other external stakeholders to ensure the effective operation of proxy voting processes and the timely resolution of operational issues.
- Monitor data quality through reconciliations, exception handling, and maintenance of accurate records and audit trails across all proxy voting activities.
- Help ensure proxy voting activities are conducted in accordance with client mandates, internal policies, and applicable regulatory requirements, escalating discrepancies and risks as appropriate.
- Research and analyze corporate governance and proxy voting trends, policies, and emerging issues, providing insights to support ad-hoc Investment Stewardship projects, reporting, and stakeholder requests.
- Prepare and deliver proxy voting data, analytics, and reporting for internal stakeholders, clients, RFPs, due diligence requests, and broader Investment Stewardship initiatives.
- Collect, analyze, and present ad hoc company and voting data, insights, and statistical information to support strategic projects, client engagement, and decision-making.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reporting capabilities, controls, and overall service delivery.
- Utilize analytical tools (SQL, Excel, Python, and visualization tools) to enhance reporting capabilities, process efficiency, and automation opportunities.
Experience & Qualifications
· Master’s degree in finance, or related field
· 1-3 years of experience in Capital Markets domain, preferably in Asset Management Industry
· Passing any level of CFA would be added advantage
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
· Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as SQL, Excel, Python, and data visualization software, is an added advantage.
· Experience and/or Understanding proxy voting and corporate governance is a plus.
