About the position:
Analyst, Payroll (Off Roll) Work closely with the Payroll Lead to support monthly payroll processing. Handle payroll activities with accuracy, discipline, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Payroll Lead in collecting, validating, and consolidating payroll inputs.
• Manage the third-party ESS portal, ensuring accurate updates for leave approver changes.
• Perform data checks for new hires, exits, holiday pay, allowances, and leave records.
• Support monthly payroll processing with thorough validation and a strong focus on accuracy.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to payroll checklists, including maker-checker controls.
• Handle statutory processes related to PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, LWF, Bonus, and Gratuity.
• Keep statutory records updated and prepare monthly reports in line with payroll guidelines.
• Stay informed on compliance updates under the guidance of the Payroll Lead.
• Coordinate with payroll vendors to resolve queries regarding input and output data.
• Ensure data consistency across HRMS and time management systems.
• Prepare standard payroll MIS reports and perform reconciliations.
• Maintain payroll trackers and ensure audit-ready documentation.
• Address day-to-day employee queries related to payroll and paysheet compliance.
Requirement:
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, HR, or equivalent.
• 4-5 years of hands-on payroll experience.
• Working knowledge of PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, and income tax basics.
• Proficiency in HRMS/payroll systems (SAP, SuccessFactors, Workday, or similar).
• Good Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, logical formulas).
• Strong attention to detail and respect for confidentiality.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from the Payroll Lead.
Preferred Attributes:
• Experience in a shared services or service center model.
• Exposure to multi-state payroll operations.
• Ability to manage tasks independently while working closely with senior members.
