Location: This position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday in a typical office environment. The position is hybrid, 3 days in office, 2 days remote. You will work an 8-hour shift scheduled during our normal business hours of 8:00AM-5:00PM. It may be necessary, given the business need to work occasional overtime. You may be required to travel between buildings. This role is located at 4101 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229.

What You Will Do:

  • Completes/issues all RFPS/RFIS from agents, brokers, and consultants. Ensures that proposal responses are accurate, consistent, and responsive and promotes the advantages of our products and services.

  • Retrieves information from all functional areas of the health plan and develops/maintains/updates database for these proposal databases.

  • Collects/analyzes statistical data regarding proposal activity, and existing/potential products and markets. Designs/prepares/generates and maintains reports that utilizes data to forecast future market conditions and customer preferences. Provides management with detailed reports and makes recommendations for improvement.

To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need the Following:

  • Required Education: Bachelor's

  • Degree Equivalency: 4 years job related work experience or Associate's and 2 years job related work experience

  • Required Work Experience: 4 years' experience in marketing support, sales, market research, data analysis, and/or communications.

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of marketing principles/techniques and the marketplace. Good judgment skills. Analytical/critical thinking/presentation skills to develop methodologies and processes used to gather and analyze market research data. Demonstrated proficiency in editing and writing skills to include spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Ability to persuade, negotiate, or influence others. Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.

  • Required Software and Other Tools: Microsoft Office.

We Prefer You to Have the Following:

  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree- any major

  • Preferred Software and Other Tools: Working knowledge of Microsoft Access or other database software.

  • Preferred Licenses and Certificates: South Carolina Department of Insurance licensure or Agent's license.
