We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Performance Engineer with deep expertise in application and infrastructure performance testing, performance engineering, and observability. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industry-standard performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, NeoLoad, JMeter, and K6, along with strong familiarity with observability platforms like Datadog and AppDynamics.
This role requires a strong engineering mindset, solid development skills, and the ability to work closely with application, infrastructure, DevOps, and product teams to ensure systems are scalable, stable, and performant under load. The candidate should also possess good working knowledge of Unix/Linux and Python, along with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and execute performance test strategies, scripts, and scenarios for web, API, middleware, and enterprise applications.
- Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable recommendations for tuning and optimization.
- Work with development and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot performance issues across application, database, network, and server layers.
- Use observability tools such as Datadog and AppDynamics to monitor system health, trace transactions, and correlate performance metrics during testing and production incidents.
- Build and maintain performance testing frameworks and reusable assets to improve efficiency and standardization.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support performance improvements during design, development, testing, and release cycles.
- Participate in capacity planning, scalability assessments, and performance risk analysis.
- Develop scripts, utilities, and automation in Python and/or shell scripting to support performance engineering activities.
- Work effectively in Unix/Linux environments for test execution, log analysis, troubleshooting, and automation.
- Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement of performance engineering processes, practices, and tooling.
