Sr Export Compliance Officer

Responsibilities- Transaction screening:Review export documentation, customer data, and shipments to ensure compliance with restricted party lists and embargoes.
- Internal audits: Performing or supporting export-related audits including facilitation of data gathering requests.
- Risk assessment: Identify potential compliance risks in global trade operations and recommend mitigation strategies and provide IT compliance access to the authorized across the globe.
- License management: Managing export authorizations\agreements. Tracking and proactively notifying license owners of upcoming expirations and coordinating timely renewals.
- Metrics & KPIs: Develop and maintain compliance performance metrics and support for KPIs.
- Regulatory compliance: Reviewing, updating, and implementing comprehensive export compliance procedures and forms to drive the Company’s overall compliance with export laws and regulations.
- Training & guidance: Communicating procedural changes via email, through training, and other communication vehicles.
- Policy development: Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and internal controls related to export compliance operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Any degree, preferably in Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in export compliance operations.
- Strong understanding of export compliance documentation and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with compliance software tools (e.g., SAP GTS, OCR EASE).
- Familiarity about U.S. export control laws EAR, ITAR, OFAC, BIS regulations.
- SCOMET and applicable local export control regulations
- Military End User (MEU) regulations
