If you live in Australia or New Zealand, you’ve likely heard of AMP. But at a time when society is changing, we are too. We’re now a nimbler business with new leadership and thinking.

For us, these are exciting times. There’s a real potential for big thinkers to help us redefine what financial services could be. And turn our legacy into something even more positive and powerful for the future.

Help people create their tomorrow, while you create yours

We help people with their banking, super, retirement and finances. Through upturns, downturns, recessions, and major life transitions. Every day, we help people see and make more of their financial potential, so that they can create their tomorrow. And we’ve been doing it for over 170 years.

If we do our job well, we genuinely add to the prosperity of our country and its people.

You will undertake a broad range of portfolio operations and investment compliance activities, including transaction support, reconciliations, investment restriction monitoring, derivative transaction reporting and the investigation of operational and compliance exceptions. Through accurate execution, effective controls and timely escalation, you will help protect customer interests and support reliable investment outcomes.

How you will make an impact

  • Support portfolio operations activities including trade management, transaction processing, cash and holdings reconciliations, and investment data integrity.
  • Monitor investment compliance obligations, including mandate restrictions, portfolio limits, pre-trade controls and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, operational incidents, compliance exceptions and potential breaches in accordance with established governance frameworks.
  • Partner with Portfolio Managers, Dealers, Custodians and external service providers to support efficient portfolio management and issue resolution.
  • Maintain strong risk and control practices through documentation, procedure management, monitoring and escalation of identified issues.
  • Support compliance rule implementation, testing and continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and investment governance.

What you will bring to the role

  • 2-5 years' experience in investment operations, fund administration or a related financial services environment, with exposure to trade processing, reconciliations and operational controls.
  • Sound knowledge of investment compliance, portfolio restrictions, regulatory obligations and the governance frameworks that support investment activities.
  • Experience investigating operational incidents, reconciliation breaks, compliance issues and potential breaches, with the ability to drive timely resolution.
  • Understanding of financial markets, investment products and portfolio structures, with experience working across a range of asset classes.
  • Experience using investment operations, compliance monitoring or portfolio management systems, with Aladdin highly regarded.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field.

Who you are

You are an analytical and detail-focused professional who understands the importance of accuracy within a controlled investment operations environment. You apply sound judgement, follow established procedures and take responsibility for investigating issues through to resolution or timely escalation.

You can manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining the quality and accuracy of your work. You communicate clearly and professionally and are comfortable working with investment teams, custodians, service providers and stakeholders across risk, compliance, legal and technology.

You bring a collaborative and practical approach to problem-solving, actively share ideas and support wider team outcomes. You are also interested in improving the way work is completed, identifying opportunities to strengthen processes, controls and operational efficiency
