What You’ll Be Doing:

Evolent Health is looking for an Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team:

 

  • This position is a Sr. Analyst/ Analyst role with the ability to work across all of Evolent Health’s business lines and operations

  • Evolent’s FP&A team supports all company stakeholders, including the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors, with data-driven financial and operational analyses to inform strategic decision-making, business planning, and areas of future investment

  • The FP&A team works cross-functionally with all departments across the organization, including Accounting, Growth, and Operations

 

Responsibilities:

Business Planning / Financial Reporting

  • Support the FP&A team by executing key deliverables below with excellent attention to detail

  • Provide monthly analysis of firm financial performance relative to budget during financial close process

  • Produce financial packages / reports with business intelligence / KPIs

  • Maintain Adaptive Insights financial information, including automating reporting and developing process automation initiatives

  • Continuously seek to improve our financial reporting as the business evolves and the customer base and product offerings expand

  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process and corporate planning

  • Department budget owner resourcing (supporting business line leaders with monthly reports, job requisitions support, purchase order support, department P&L forecasting)

Finance Operations

  • Cost center management / coordination between Talent, Workday, and Finance

  • Build and maintain project plans to organize around the rollout of new initiatives

  • Create, automate, and maintain financial reporting tools based on business needs

  • Teams page / FP&A document repository maintenance

  • Workday & Adaptive configuration and maintenance

  • Putting processes around Finance responsibilities and maintaining processes (e.g., project codes / capitalization codes)

Strategic Finance / Special Projects

  • Produce summary financial materials including monthly and quarterly financial summaries and any ad hoc materials (e.g., Board materials, analyses for Executive stakeholders) as needed

  • Summarize key business metrics and KPIs to track drivers of financial health

  • Maintain existing standard models (e.g., pricing, cost allocations, staffing) to drive consistency, accuracy, and scalability across our business

  • Contribute to development of financial models / materials as part of special projects, including finance and business development initiatives (e.g., new investments)

·        Support new or upsell opportunities through contributions of financial inputs and review of new product admin underwriting models.

 

 

The Experience We Prefer:

  • Chartered Accountant/CPA or Master’s degree in Business Finance

  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with Power BI and other BI tools

  • Freshers from reputed universities or Analyst with 1-2 years of experience in corporate finance (FP&A), investment banking, or other Finance role and ideally coming from an institution with a training / rotational / development program

  • Customer service focused with excellent analytical skills, interpersonal skills and executive presence required.

  • Ability to balance multiple projects and adapt to new issues/assignments as business needs change.

  • Extraordinarily detail oriented and focus on accuracy

  • Exceptionally strong analytical abilities, with a track record of identifying insights from financial information and translating into business analytics and recommendations

  • Candidate who thrives with growth-driven changes

  • Experience with Adaptive Insights or other reporting tools like Power BI / Tableau

Experience in or exposure to the healthcare space, pricing, and / or operational analytics
