The Analyst will support the Capital Markets team in the underwriting, analysis, due diligence, and execution of commercial real estate financing transactions. This position will assist producers and senior team members with debt and equity placement assignments, including acquisition, development, construction, refinance, and recapitalization transactions across a variety of property types.
The Analyst will be involved in all aspects of transaction execution, including financial analysis, market research, lender communications, due diligence coordination, and preparation of client-facing materials. The ideal candidate is an analytical, detail-oriented professional seeking to build a career in commercial real estate finance and capital markets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepare and maintain financial models utilizing Excel and other industry-standard software, including analyses related to loan sizing, debt yield, DSCR, LTV/LTC, investment returns, and cash flow projections.
- Support underwriting and analysis of debt and equity placement opportunities across multiple property types and transaction structures.
- Conduct market research, comparable transaction analysis, and financial due diligence in support of financing assignments.
- Gather, organize, and track due diligence materials, including rent rolls, operating statements, budgets, appraisals, surveys, third-party reports, leases, sponsorship materials, and closing documentation.
- Prepare investment memoranda, financing request packages, lender presentations, term sheet summaries, and other client-facing deliverables.
- Assist with lender outreach, capital source tracking, request management, and transaction follow-up throughout the financing process.
- Maintain transaction records, pipeline information, contact databases, lender lists, and comparable financing data.
- Coordinate with clients, lenders, attorneys, consultants, and internal team members to facilitate transaction execution and meet project deadlines.
- Monitor market conditions, financing trends, and capital markets activity to support client recommendations and business development efforts.
- Assist in identifying, researching, and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Preferred areas of study include Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Internship, analyst program, or transaction-oriented experience in commercial real estate finance, banking, investments, or capital markets preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with ARGUS and commercial real estate financial modeling preferred.
