The Analyst, Customer Intelligence (Data Analytics & Integrity) is responsible for gathering, cleaning, organizing, and analyzing data from various sources, focusing on accuracy, integrity, correction, usefulness and overall customer data insights. This person will also be responsible for reporting results through data visualization & providing an initial interpretation to support decision making and agile processes. The position works hybrid at the Bank’s headquarters based in San Juan, PR.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Data Strategy: Design and/or execute strategies focused on the accurate and reliable detection of customer profile errors in the existing database & product and/or application data assessment.
- Explore, understand & document procedures related to data fields from all bank systems and how they integrate with our core system.
- Data issues management responsibilities include:
- Analyze source of error
- identify additional errors with the same behavior
- create monitoring reports that can detect data quality issues and be delivered to data integrity unit for its daily execution
- Create, process, and validate the massive maintenances in the banking systems in the corresponding templates for the correction of data.
- Reconcile customer product account relationships whose origination is not within our core banking system.
- Data Value: according to business needs, collect, scrub, analyze and convert data into useful insights and KPI’s.
- Data Visualization:
- Create and maintain reporting dashboards that are necessary for business and improve reporting processes to increase efficiency and supplement strategic decision making.
- Understand and analyze core system data, using statistical techniques to create and provide ongoing reports, dashboards, recommendations and provide summarized results.
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Ensures that external and internal regulations, policies governing data management, are met concerning security, audit ability and privacy.
- Participates in the design of training needed as part of the implementation process.
- Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to facilitate data gathering, gain insights and improve metrics.
- Other duties may be assigned.
MININUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, information systems and technology or related field required.
- Three (3) years of experience in data analytics or data science required. Experience in the financial industry or related field preferred.
- Computer skills in the use of MS Office as well as advanced Excel proficiency required.
- Either Power BI or similar data visualization tool intermediate level experience is required.
- IBS and BIC knowledge highly preferred.
- Basic SQL knowledge required.
- Analytical, proactive, problem solving, organized & detail oriented.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and analyze data quickly and accurately.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, to manage relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills both in English and Spanish.
