ResponsibilitiesThe Analyst, Business Intelligence & Data Insights is responsible for supporting data-driven decision making across the firm by providing actionable insights through data analysis, reporting, and visualization. This role will work closely with business leaders, finance, and operational teams to identify opportunities, solve complex problems, and measure key performance metrics. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at communicating technical findings to business stakeholders.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties
- Gather, analyze, and interpret large sets of financial and operational data from various sources, including ERP, CRM, and other business systems.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik).
- Perform ad hoc analyses to support business initiatives, including profitability, productivity, client trends, and compliance.
- Collaborate with business units and leadership to understand data requirements and deliver accurate, timely insights.
- Identify trends, patterns, and actionable opportunities for improvement in accounting, audit, tax, and advisory services.
- Support data quality initiatives and ensure data integrity across reporting solutions.
- Document processes, methodologies, and data definitions to support transparency and repeatability.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging BI technologies relevant to accounting and professional services.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in clear, compelling formats.
- Assist in the automation of reporting and analytics processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or related analytics roles (experience in accounting/professional services preferred).
- Proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) and Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of SQL and data querying preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working with financial and operational data sets is highly desirable.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
