What Business Analysis contributes to Cardinal Health
Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Business Analysis serves as a liaison between the organization's businesses and IT systems development teams to align business strategies and capability needs and to ensure IT systems enable their desired value. This job family identifies and analyzes business needs, defines requirements and objectives, and makes recommendations for solutions using new and existing technologies. This job family researches and documents relationships between the components of the application system (i.e., end users, business processes, data, applications, and devices) and translates business requirements into application requirements.

Internal
- Should meet Internal qualifications (minimum 1 year tenure in current role; no NTE, DA, PIP or under an active prescriptive period, minimum of "Achieved" on most recent performance evaluation)
- Voice experience an advantage
- Experience in interfacing with Internal & External partners
- Willingness & aptitude to learn technical aspects of role
External
- 2 - 3 years of experience, preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- Strong trouble shooting skills - critical thinking a must
- Ability to work on multiple implementations/tickets at one time with emphasis on customer service and root cause analysis; experience with ServiceNow a plus
- Ability to work directly/ interface with customers and facilitate meetings, both with Internal and External partners/ clients
- Can train & provide walk through to external clients
- EDI experience/ knowledge required
What is expected of you and others at this level
- Responsibility for adding new and supporting existing EDI Trading Partner setups for all business units (i.e. Medical, Pharma, Pharma 3PL).
- Utilize Service Now ticket tracking software to manage all requests and enhancements.
- Provide comprehensive technical consultation to business and IT business units.
- Work closely with external trading partners to identify business requirements for new and existing EDI implementations.
- Will be responsible for researching alternative solutions and make recommendations.
- Gain an understanding of the customer's tactical and strategic goals and apply to business solutions.
- Maintain contact with clients to ensure that their expectations are understood and met.
- Identify internal and external resources to achieve established business goals within specified parameters.
- Coordinate efforts across multiple business and technical groups.
- Promote an awareness of quality within team, and maintain the quality of services, deliverables, and content.
- Identify and eliminate obstacles to solution plans, business goals, or implementations.
- Responsible for understanding and maintaining business SLA including metrics and dashboards showing current state, progress, and trending numbers.
- Knowledge of EDI document types (including but not limited to 850-Purchase Order, 855 – Purchase Order Acknowledgement, 856 – Advance Ship Notice, 810 - Invoice, 832 - Catalog).
- Knowledge of AS2 and SFTP communication protocols.
- Demonstrates excellent listening, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Applies basic concepts, principles and technical capabilities to perform routine tasks
- Works on projects of limited scope and complexity
- Follows established procedures to resolve readily identifiable technical problems
- Works under direct supervision and receives detailed instructions
