Job Overview:
The Analyst will support LPL’s Advisor M&A group, working across both our Deal Support and Sell-Side teams. The role will focus on key transaction deliverables, valuation support, due diligence preparation, reporting/analytics, and process management that enable successful advisor M&A transactions. The Analyst will provide support to a high volume of deal activity, be a significant contributor to team reporting and insights, and help drive effective team decision-making.
This role is designed for professionals looking to build a career in M&A dealmaking or strategic finance. High-performing analysts will gain exposure to transaction structures, valuation methodologies, due diligence, financing solutions, and advisor acquisition trends while partnering with experienced deal teams. Over time, this role can serve as a pathway into more senior, client-facing Advisor M&A positions supporting full transaction engagements.
Responsibilities:
Transaction Support
- Assist in preparing transaction analyses, valuations, and other deal materials to support ongoing deal engagements
- Assist with acquisition due diligence efforts by gathering, organizing, and analyzing financial and operational data
- Perform transaction-related analyses, including deal fallout analysis, deal size trends, deal structure analysis, financing analysis, and quarterly comparisons
- Develop an understanding of small business mergers and acquisitions, including valuation methodologies, deal structures, financing, and industry trends
Analytics & Reporting
- Manage weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting including pipeline updates, deal metrics, waitlist reporting, and line-of-business reporting
- Support the team in tracking key performance metrics, transaction statistics, and operational effectiveness measures
- Maintain valuation statistics, transaction data, deal structure and financing insights, and reporting tools to support the integrity of M&A analytics and decision-making
- Maintain and update databases used to support advisor M&A activities, including seller pipelines and transaction tracking tools
- Maintain transaction and pipeline data within Salesforce and related business systems to support reporting accuracy, workflow management, and operational effectiveness.
Project and Process Management
- Support survey administration, data collection, and reporting initiatives for the Advisor M&A teams
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and help develop scalable solutions to support growing advisor M&A activity
- Leverage internal teams and resources to ensure assigned deliverables and project milestones are completed accurately and on time

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, wealth management, corporate development, financial services, or a related analytical role.
- 1+ years’ experience with Excel, including the ability to manipulate datasets, build analytical models, and identify actionable business insights for financial analysis and reporting.
- 1+ years’ experience creating presentations or client-ready deliverables and communicating recommendations through PowerPoint.
- Foundational understanding of M&A transactions or exposure to valuation concepts, lending solutions, common deal terms and structures, and general deal process.

Pay Range:
$28.77-$47.93/hourActual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
