Summary:
The Analyst, Accounting I - FORT is responsible for providing strategic and operational support to the Accounting Department by independently performing complex analytical assignments. This role is ideal for a proactive and self-motivated individual who takes ownership of their work and consistently delivers complete, accurate, and insightful results.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Independently calculate, analyze and verify interest income for the company’s investments and interest expense for all debt obligations, applying sound judgment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Conduct thorough reconciliations of bank balances and financial records, proactively identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of balances, interest, fees, and other financial items, using discretion to resolve complex variances.
Foster a collaborative work environment by effectively partnering with colleagues and demonstrating strong teamwork skills.
Provide high-level administrative and analytical support for major projects, exercising autonomy in managing priorities and ensuring successful execution.
Design and produce comprehensive reports by extracting, transforming, and analyzing data to deliver actionable insights that inform decision-making.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data across all reports and databases.
Ensure data integrity across all reporting platforms, applying critical thinking to validate and troubleshoot inconsistencies.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:

Understanding of basic Accounting Principles
Understanding of Expense reimbursement process
Understanding of basic Accounts Payable process
Advanced knowledge of MS-Office tools especially Excel
Strong attention to detail and organized
Ability to perform reporting functions; downloading, formatting and manipulating
Ability to perform and understand interest rate functions, including changes and calculations
Strong work and business ethics
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma required.
Certificate level education or Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred
1-3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The estimated base pay for this role is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The estimated base pay for this position is the annualized equivalent of $55,000.00 - $65,000.00, depending on experience, qualifications, market location, and other job-related factors. In addition, this role is eligible for commissions based on performance and productivity against commission plan parameters.
