We are actively seeking passionate and driven Principal Analog IC Design Engineer who will lead talented design team to architect and develop new world class Magnetic Sensors. Under your leadership, the team will model, design, and implement integrated circuits with focus on Magnetic and Inductive Sensors ICs for automotive, emerging personal mobility, robotics, and industrial automation applications. This exciting role brings the opportunity to create innovative and highly differentiated products.
Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performance IC design team by providing mentorship in the areas of design, simulations, project scheduling, project deliverables, test plan development for complex integrated sensors circuits.

Work closely with cross functions (marketing, test, packaging, QA, systems, layout, verification, and validation) to provide design feasibility studies and engineering solutions to meet or exceed performance and cost commitments.

Utilize expertise in analog integrated circuit design for driving portfolio roadmaps and next gen devices definitions.

Lead the design, simulation, evaluation, and documentation of state-of-the-art sensor products.

Provide support for post-silicon bring-up (characterization, statistical analysis, setting test limits, review silicon performance and analyzing pre-production test data) and debugging by collaborating with Product, Systems, Verification and Validation Engineers.

Perform and participate in technical and functional design and datasheet reviews.

Analyze and mitigate technological product development risks.

Competitive benchmarking for key IP/technology to define and design leadership products.

Assisting in the support of customer applications and any product issues.

Provide support and leadership in enhancing, and administering the company’s rigorous design development processes, culture, and vision.

Participate and help in sourcing and hiring strong talent for Allegro.
Required Qualifications

Solid Industry experience with focus on precision analog CMOS/BiCMOS and mixed signal integrated circuit design:

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field and 10+ years of design experience.

M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field and 8+ years of design experience.

PhD. in Electrical Engineering or related field and 5+ years of design experience.

Demonstrated ability in full SoC chip integration/verification with products released to market.

Knowledge of complete product development lifecycle (Definition, Design, testing, qualification, production, support).

Experience in sensing analog IC design and automotive quality standards is a big plus.

Analog design skill set such as low noise-amplifiers, sigma-delta modulator, digital filter, noise and distortion analysis, apart from standard core analog blocks is plus.

Prior experience in managing and mentoring design engineers is a plus.

Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively across multiple functions.
