We are looking for an energetic finance professional with knowledge in banking financial products, accounting, business processes and able to add value to our Finance activities.
The candidate should be able to: a) contribute, together with Ledger Quality Control team, in the evaluation and monitoring of the quality of the balances produced by the Finance team (Tax, Local and IFRS accounting teams and underlying processes); b) independently control the volume of breaks in certain reconciliation processes; c) periodically calculate the prudential mark-to-market COSIF adjustments; c) act as a point of contact between Finance and IT teams; d) lead "In Control" activities (e.g. audit and regulatory requests, risk matrix and key controls assessments) and participation in projects (local and global ones).
Main responsibilities:
Policies & procedures
• Lead and enable In Control related activities. Liaise with Compliance and audit teams;
• Identify bottlenecks in the operation concerning the appointed activity area and develop and propose possibilities to the Team Leader for new or adapted reporting and/or accounting policies, guidelines, etc;
• Preparation of Performance Indicators and efficiency improvements.
Control, Analysis and Improvements
• Mark-to-market calculation;
• KPIs automation;
• Processes improvements;
Developing a network
• High teamworking skills, being able to build network on different levels while gaining co-operation.
Projects
• Ad hoc participation in local and global projects (meetings, bugs analysis, documentation, presentations, etc.).
Main requirements:
• Graduation degree in Accounting, Business or related areas;
• Solid knowledge in (Brazilian) financial instruments, COSIF and IFRS rules. Market Risk related skills are a valuable asset;
• Self learner;
• (Preferred) experience with process improvements;
• Excel/VBA/Power BI skills are required;
• Solid experience working in a dynamic international environment;
• Advanced English communication skills.
