Who We Look For
We are seeking a high-caliber, experienced technical architect with a proven track record of design and delivery. In this role, you will serve as a technical authority driving the evolution of our end-to-end QIS (Quantitative Investment Strategies) infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with engineers, portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, and senior leadership across QIS, Public Investing and AWM in this high-visibility, high-impact role where you will translate complex financial strategies into robust, high-performance distributed systems.
As a Vice President in the QIS Engineering team, you will be working in a close-knit environment with Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts and Technologists to design and develop platforms that drive the QIS business, spanning new product capabilities, quantitative research, model generation, portfolio construction and monitoring.
The role also provides an opportunity to participate in all phases of a project life cycle and work with extremely bright and motivated individuals, who focus on development and strive for continuous process improvement. In specific the candidate will
- Participate in design and architecture, delivery and maintenance of distributed, multi-region, scalable and resilient platforms/systems used for day-to-day Portfolio Management and Construction.
- Interact with other engineering teams to understand technology offerings and how they can be applied and leveraged as part of our solutions.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of software development experience.
- Excellent object oriented or functional analysis and design skills.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and apply analysis to make data driven decisions.
- Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a global team.
- Can apply an entrepreneurial approach and passion to problem solving and product development.
Expert knowledge in one or more of
- Programming in a complied language such as java, or python and experience with concurrency and memory management.
- Databases both relational and NoSQL such as MongoDB, Single Store, Sybase ASE.
- Cloud experience will be an added advantage
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge or interest in trading technologies in the front-office of a trading organization
- Experience operating within the front-office of a trading organization
- B.S. or M.S. computer science or related field.

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, NY, United States-based position is $130000-$250000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
