Job Description:
As a Data Scientist in the IT department, you will constructively disrupt current Data Science practices and design new and better models that transform current and future business processes. You will directly contribute to the design and development of scaled Data Science algorithms and work with Data and Software Engineering teams to productionize algorithms. You will apply thorough technical knowledge to massive datasets with exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model building to deliver accurate and impactful algorithms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end large-scale applications, products, services, projects, or foundational technologies.
- Shape frameworks of work and define the evolution of their area of scope, ensuring operational excellence and scalability.
- Influence technology decisions and lead teams, engaging in detailed, hands-on work as required.
- Demonstrate breadth of applied IT skills across at least two IT job profiles.
- Requires at least two relevant roles and experience managing or influencing people or organizations to achieve significant IT outcomes.
- Define strategy and lead the delivery and transformation of business outcomes through IT within major sub-OU services, products, or programs.
- Actively participate in developing others in the function, with completion of Leadership Strength Assessment (LSA) and a sustainable career journey ahead.
Job Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role.
- Solid understanding of machine learning models, data analysis, and statistics.
- Problem-solving aptitude with an analytical mind.
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python
- Certifications: Azure Data Scientist Associate, Azure Developer Associate are preferred but not mandatory.
