As an Alternative Funds Tax Operations Associate within the Wealth Management (WM) team, you will support the U.S. Private Bank by helping ensure the timely and accurate completion of CRS and FATCA reporting. In this role, you will work within a newly implemented Alts Blotter that centralizes client tax forms and supports the validation of key data fields for Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and the Subscriber Tax Information Form (STIF). You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to help drive consistent execution of regulatory reporting requirements and strengthen day-to-day tax compliance controls.
Job responsibilities
- Review and validate tax forms housed in the Alts Blotter, confirming completeness and accuracy of required fields for CRS and the STIF
- Coordinate validation outreach and exception management by following up on incomplete or inconsistent tax forms, documenting responses, and escalating aging items as needed
- Analyze data for consistency and accuracy; liaise with appropriate team(s) and/or individual(s) to facilitate the required changes
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Client Services, Tax Compliance, and Alternative Investments teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of regulatory reporting obligations
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- BA/BS required
- Experience supporting Information of Common Reporting Standards (CRS) and Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) reporting
- Understanding tax certifications via Form W-8, Form W-9, and CRS Self-Certification. classification (FI/NFE; Active/Passive NFE)
- Strong data and controls capability: reconciliations, exception handling and evidence retention
- Clear written and verbal communication for investor outreach, good communication and stakeholder coordination skills; able to write clear follow-ups and escalate issues with supporting facts
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Preferred experience supporting more than one CCB Operations Function/Line of Business
- Comfortable working with data: strong Excel skills (filters, pivots, lookups); experience with workflow tools or basic data querying is a plus
- FATCA experience often a plus where processes are combined
