Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Kick-start your career as an Algorithm Engineer by working on the “Vision Engine”, the brain of
our inspection systems. By using groundbreaking technology and developing smart algorithms,
from classic computer vision to modern machine learning, we can solve challenging real-world
inspection problems. Through teamwork and growth opportunities you will become an expert
on our high performance vision systems and contribute directly to support our customers.
At KLA, early-career engineers grow by working side-by-side with experienced experts,
contributing to real products that shape the semiconductor industry. You will join collaborative,
multidisciplinary teams where knowledge sharing, mentorship, and technical excellence are
part of everyday work. Through hands-on projects, guidance from senior engineers, and
exposure to real customer challenges, you will continuously expand both your technical skills
and system-level understanding. If you thrive in a team environment, enjoy learning every day,
and want your work to truly matter, KLA offers the ideal place to build a strong and rewarding
engineering career.
Your work involves
- Designing and developing soware for advanced inspection solutions, translating
customer requirements into high-quality, maintainable soware used in state-of-the-art
manufacturing environments.
- Collaborating with multiple software teams to validate and integrate new inspection
flows, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and ready for deployment on KLA inspection
machines.
- Working together with senior engineers to evaluate and introduce modern soware
tools and development practices, continuously improving efficiency and the
development environment on Linux and Windows.
- Supporting field engineers and the Applications (APPS) team, contributing to the full
process flow of the vision system and gaining a strong end-to-end understanding of our
products.
- Occasional travel to customers, helping you build real-world insight into customer use
cases and the impact of your work in production environments.
Requirements
- A solid foundation in machine vision and software development, combined with curiosity and
motivation, enables you to grow into solving increasingly complex inspection challenges.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Initial
professional experience (or strong hands-on academic projects) is a plus, but above all
we value your passion for technology, drive to learn, and motivation to make a
difference.
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming, with practical experience in
C/C++ gained through coursework, projects, or early career roles. Exposure to Python
and deep-learning concepts is a plus.
- Experience working with Linux environments and open-source tools, at least at project
or academic level, with the ambition to deepen this knowledge in a professional setting.
- Strong interest in new technologies, including emerging hardware trends, modern
software frameworks, and computer-vision libraries, with the curiosity to experiment
and learn.
- Analytical mindset and strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration
within international, multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
