Sitting at the intersection of business and technology, the Aladdin Product Management team works closely with developers, researchers, and other stakeholders to innovate, conceptualize, design and pilot new capabilities across the investment lifecycle. As a Product Manager, you will have a positive impact on developing the product vision and leading day to day execution of the roadmap. There are many strategic areas that need exploration, evaluation, and prioritization, while in parallel ensuring that the tactical needs for continuing to deliver the product are met.

About this role: 

The nature of how portfolios are built is changing. Clients are increasingly looking beyond traditional fixed income and equities to more diversified, resilient portfolios made up of all asset classes, both public and private. As alternative investments become mainstream, the ability to estimate risk, exposures, and measure performance across the Whole Portfolio is increasingly important to deliver end-client outcomes.

By bringing together eFront + Aladdin, we can deliver the most comprehensive investment management solution for diverse portfolios. The Whole Portfolio sets a new standard in the investment and risk management industry by joining public and private market investments into a consolidated platform. This role is for a Product Manager on the Whole Portfolio Product team and will be responsible for leading our product strategy and roadmap execution for our Front Office capabilities, which span Exposures + Risk, Analytics, and Performance.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management / business analysis / client service that includes building and launching technology in a B2B or B2C market or other financial technology or financial experience
  • Strong team player with ability to lead and influence across the organization
  • Commercial acumen, with ability to prioritize and execute quickly 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to make data driven decisions and deliver results quickly 
  • Preference for and demonstrated success in a team-oriented environment
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or equivalent practical experience
  • This role is specialized and will require technical and analytical skills and mindset (e.g. ability to work with financial modelers, financial engineers as well as quantitative investment professionals)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Working with other product managers to define the product strategy and vision for Risk and Analytical capabilities for our Whole Portfolio offerings (Private Markets and Muli-Asset Strategies). Partner across teams such as Aladdin Financial Engineer, Aladdin Data, and the Aladdin Investor product teams
  • Develop a strong understanding of the needs of Private Market investments industry, especially when it comes CIO personas, multi-asset risk managers, portfolio managers, and performance analysts
  • Be a subject matter expert of personas, workflows, and tools within your product domain 
  • Influence teams across Aladdin to drive forward strategic product decisions 
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of business, stakeholder and client needs 
  • Gather, evaluate & define detailed product requirements and product specifications 
  • Develop, prioritize, and maintain roadmaps, provide quarterly updates on deliverables and create content for management communications 
  • Develop a strong understanding of competitors and industry trends 
  • Provide technical/industry expertise to both sales and clients directly on how to leverage the Aladdin offering. Act as the product lead resource for the rest of the organization (Marketing, Sales, Client Businesses)
  • Own the development backlog: quarterly planning, backlog grooming, sprint planning and delivery demos
  • Defining, in collaboration with the engineering team and UI/UX team, the features requirements, use cases, user Stories, and user journey maps necessary to deliver a complete product/feature to market
  • Manage Aha: ideas management, roadmap, epic and feature prioritization, review feedback and new requests / client commitments
