In this role, you will directly support Art Directors and Interactive Designers by leveraging cutting-edge AI features within Figma to scale our visual libraries, automate workflows, and build out robust components. This is not a traditional production designer/ad-resizing role; it is a high-utility contractor position centered on rapid prototyping, asset generation, and systemic design. You will play a pivotal role in streamlining our asset pipeline while maintaining technical precision and visual quality across our marketing channels.

- Component & Template Creation: Construct and organize scalable design templates and flexible UI components within Figma to empower interactive design teams.
- AI-Driven Asset Generation: Leverage Figma Weave and Figma Motion to generate, iterate, and animate visual assets at scale for our centralized image library.
- Creative Collaboration: Partner closely with Art Directors and Interactive Designers to rapidly prototype visual concepts and translate creative direction into production-ready assets.
- Workflow Optimization: Experiment with enterprise-approved generative AI tools and plugins to streamline the asset pipeline and eliminate repetitive design tasks.
- Brand & Quality Alignment: Maintain visual consistency and adhere to brand guidelines across all systematically generated deliverables.
What you’ll need:
- Experience Level: 4+ years of relevant experience in design systems, system architecture, or digital asset creation within an agency or in-house studio setting.
- Strong product design foundation — understands UX/UI, interaction patterns, accessibility, responsive systems, and how systems function across complex digital products.
- Enterprise design systems experience — has built or scaled systems for large organizations, ideally with thousands of components, multiple product teams, and complex governance.
- Figma expertise — deep knowledge of Figma libraries, variables, components, tokens, templates, and increasingly AI-powered workflows.
- AI Tool Integration: Proven experience using generative design tools, specifically Figma Weave, Figma Motion, and Figma Agents (or equivalent AI design assistants).
- Systemic Thinking: A strong understanding of design systems and how to scale visual assets systematically.
- Collaborative Mindset: Ability to take creative direction from Art Directors and execute it with high technical precision in a fast-paced environment.
- Portfolio Proof: A portfolio showcasing visual asset generation, motion/interactive elements, and clean, organized Figma file structures.
Nice to have:
- Background in product design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects for motion graphics or Substance for 3D asset creation.

What We Do
SoFi wasn’t built to be a bank. Or a technology company. We were built for one mission: help people achieve financial independence so they can realize their ambitions. Redefining an entire industry isn’t easy work—and it’s not for the faint of heart. It takes a certain kind of team. People with diverse perspectives and expertise, united by a common sense of purpose. People willing to challenge assumptions but always do the right thing. People proving that innovation and responsibility don’t have to compete, but can come together to create something truly unconventional in the world. For the last eight years, we’ve been charting this new path forward. We call it The SoFi Way. At SoFi, we don’t just talk about culture: we live it. The SoFi Way is how we show up every day, how we make decisions, and how we build for our members, clients, and each other.
