About Mentee Robotics
Mentee Robotics is redefining humanoid automation with an AI-first approach - integrating cutting-edge perception, reasoning, and dexterous manipulation into a fully autonomous humanoid robot that continuously adapts and learns.
We're not building for a single task. We're building a Universal Humanoid - one platform (hardware + software) that can perform any human task across two environments: Consumer (homes) first, and B2B (warehouses) later. Our flagship product, Menteebot, is designed for human-like adaptability across the full range of real-world environments - from living rooms to logistics floors - performing complex tasks with the generality and dexterity of a person.
The Team
The Software department owns everything that runs on the robot - ROS, perception modules, on-board compute (Jetson), DevOps, and the broader software stack that turns AI models and hardware into a working, shippable robot. SW sits at the intersection of nearly every other group in the company: it consumes the AI department's models, runs on the Robotics department's electronics and embedded systems, and must align with Mechanical Engineering and System on integration and assembly.
We're looking for a Product Manager to own that intersection. Your core mission is to improve cooperation between departments and ensure the SW department's plans are aligned with the product vision and with the needs of every team SW depends on - with full, real-time transparency of cross-department dependencies and blockers.
This is a high-leverage role for someone who is equal parts product thinker and technical program driver. You won't just maintain a backlog - you'll be the connective tissue that keeps AI, Robotics (Electronics, Control, Embedded), Mechanical Engineering (Floor, System), and SW pulling in the same direction toward a single product vision.
The Role
We are looking for a Product Manager to sit at the center of all this.
Your main job is to keep the teams working well together. You will make sure the SW plans match the product vision and the needs of every team we depend on. You will keep all dependencies and blockers clear and visible in real time.
You will also be the SW team's point of contact for the company demo team. You will collect their feedback, bring it into the SW plans, and support what they need. A big part of the role is balance: weighing the demo team's needs against department goals, the product vision, and other teams' needs and dependencies, then setting the right priorities.
Beyond alignment, you will help shape where the SW department goes next. You will spot new opportunities, push for bold technical bets, and turn the product vision into fresh ideas the team can build on.
Responsibilities- Own the SW roadmap. Keep it aligned with the product vision and the priorities of the CTO group.
- Track dependencies and blockers between SW and every other team (AI, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, System). Surface them early and drive them to a fix.
- Keep one clear source of truth for cross-team status: what SW needs from others, what others need from SW, and where the critical path runs.
- Be the SW point of contact for the demo team. Collect their feedback and bring it into the SW plans.
- Support the demo team's needs. Balance and prioritize across department goals, product vision, other teams' needs and dependencies, and the demo team's inputs.
- Run the regular planning, syncs, and reviews that keep team interfaces clear and commitments visible.
- Spot integration risks early (handoffs, hardware limits, compute limits, demo deadlines) and plan ahead to reduce them.
Help shape the SW department's technical vision and champion innovation - turning field insights and new ideas into bold bets on what to build next.
Requirements- 5+ years in product or technical program management, in a deeply technical hardware-and-software environment (robotics, autonomous systems, automotive, drones, embedded systems, or similar).
- A track record of driving work across many engineering teams and solving complex dependencies between them.
- Strong technical understanding. You can talk clearly with software, AI/ML, electronics, control, and mechanical engineers and understand what limits each team.
- A strong sense of ownership. You chase blockers down - you don't just log them.
- A vision-driven, innovation-minded approach. You don't just keep teams aligned - you push the SW stack forward with fresh ideas.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Hands-on familiarity with robotics software: ROS, perception pipelines, on-board compute.
- Experience connecting AI/ML research teams with production software teams.
- Experience supporting live demos, customer milestones, or field deployments.
- Background across both software and hardware product cycles.
Skills Required
- 5+ years in robotics, autonomous systems, AI/ML
- Managerial/leadership experience
- Experience leading complex technical projects
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics
- Hands-on familiarity with Python, C++, and Linux
