Supports the Firm's Artificial Intelligence strategy by designing, building, testing and integrating AI‑powered applications and agents that enhance legal workflows, knowledge management, and client service delivery. Works hands‑on to translate business needs into secure, reliable and user‑friendly AI solutions. The Solutions Specialist will work with the Firm's Microsoft and SharePoint ecosystem as well as external vendor solutions to deliver desired outcomes.

Develop, deploy and maintain custom AI agents, copilots and applications using frameworks and platforms such as Semantic Kernel, LangChain and Microsoft Copilot Studio.


Assist in prompt engineering exercises to achieve the desired behavior from AI models.


Build integrations with Azure OpenAI, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Graph, and approved enterprise AI tools; implement retrieval augmented generation (RAG), vector search and grounding against Firm knowledge sources.


Customize and extend Microsoft SharePoint and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to embed AI capabilities into practice management, litigation support, and knowledge management workflows.


Develop APIs, connectors and automation scripts (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, PowerShell) to integrate AI solutions with Firm systems (e.g., document management system, CRM, eDiscovery/document review platforms).


Prototype and iterate on AI use cases relevant to the delivery of legal services.


Conduct proofs of concept and pilots for emerging AI technologies; document technical findings, business value, risks and recommendations for productionization.


Test AI models and solutions for accuracy, security and usability to ensure compliance with client guidelines, Firm policies, data governance and security protocols; run evaluations for hallucination reduction, prompt/response quality, and bias/PII mitigation.


In coordination with the AI Solutions Manager, create technical and training documentation, user guides and runbooks; support training for attorneys and professional staff on new AI tools, workflows and best practices.


Collaborate with Firm Practice Groups, departments and vendors to identify opportunities, coordinate releases and ensure seamless AI integration within the Firm's technology stack.


Assist the AI Solutions Manager with tracking and reporting on initiative outcomes (KPIs/OKRs), adoption metrics and lessons learned to demonstrate the value of AI to Firm operations.


Maintain current knowledge of AI trends, toolsets and law firm best practices, to inform solution design and continuous improvement of internal practice processes and efficiency.


Keeps supervisor abreast of current issues and potential problems, seeks advice as needed.

Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or related field required; Master's degree preferred; and three to five years experience developing enterprise applications, with at least one to two years focused on AI, automation or data driven tools; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Hands on experience building AI agents, chatbots or copilots required. Strong background in Microsoft ecosystem (SharePoint, Power Platform, Teams, Microsoft Graph API) preferred. Familiarity with APIs, scripting (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, PowerShell) and cloud environments (Azure preferred) required. Experience in a professional services or law firm environment strongly preferred. Strong understanding of AI technologies and orchestration patterns, including prompt engineering, grounding/RAG, embeddings/vector stores, evaluations, and agent frameworks. Experience integrating AI with Microsoft Platforms and Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, Azure AI Search, Azure OpenAI). Proficiency with modern development practices (source control, CI/CD, environment management), secure coding and data governance. Experience collaborating with both technical and non technical teams to achieve business outcomes.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
