AI Research Engineer- Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS)

Originating from the AI research in Silicon Valley, our Foundation Model Powered AI Enablers group plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of industrial AI experiences for Bosch products and services. By fusing cutting-edge machine learning, data analysis, and interactive visualization technologies, we research and develop scalable and transparent AI & big data analytic solutions (e.g., audio, images, sensor logs) for a range of domains, including Industry 4.0 (I4.0), IoT, autonomous driving, and connected vehicles. • Conduct research and engineering in core AI and machine learning fields to enable Embodied AI (including computer vision, autonomous planning, open-world learning, and so on) for related business domains of ADAS/AD, industrial automation, robotics etc. 
• Push the boundaries in 3D perception for automated driving, incorporating advancements in large vision-language-(action) models to aid reasoning capabilities and 
• Collaborate with a global team to transfer cutting-edge research findings to Bosch's operational units. 
• Implement research results to solve real-world challenges, ensuring high-quality system integration within Bosch's existing platforms. 
• Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and market trends by attending academic conferences, technical events, and seminars. 
• Document and disseminate research findings through high-caliber publications and/or patent submissions. 

Basic Qualifications: 

• Master’s degree  with >= 3 years industry experience after graduation. 
• A minimum of 3 years of R&D experience, or an equivalent graduate research background, primarily in AI technologies including 3D Computer Vision, Automotive Motion,  Behavioral Planning, etc. 
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in machine learning (e.g., Python, C++, Rust). 
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork capabilities. 
• Knowledge of major machine learning frameworks like PyTorch. 
• Hands-on experience in computer vision and deep learning, with a strong focus on at least two of the following areas: multimodal transformers or VLMs, multimodal language models, diffusion models, NeRF or gaussian splatting, VLA modeling, 3D scene understanding, sensor calibration, autonomous driving, SfM, behavior modeling / prediction, voxel/BEV grid-based feature representation. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related discipline 
• Publication record in top venues including CVPR, ICCV, ICRA, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, TVCG, SIGGRAPH. 
• Industry experience with building E2E systems and world models for ADAS development. 
• Experience in working with hardware systems including sensors such as cameras, depth sensors, IMU, LIDAR, etc. 
• Strong background in math and statistics. 
• Able to work independently, has strong research and problem-solving skills. 
• Good communication and teamwork skills. 

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $ 165,000 - $ 200,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. Your Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
